Our people
Paul Clowes
Paul grew up in Manchester, England, and played for Manchester City Football Club's Academy from the ages of 7 to 18. He then attended Clemson University, where he captained the team and completed a business degree.
After graduating, Paul was drafted and signed by D.C. United in the MLS. His career then took him to Charlotte, Orlando, and Greenville. While playing, Paul worked as Director for a sports company, through which he learned valuable skills and significantly supplemented his income. This experience led him to see the value in working while playing to set up a successful future career upon retirement.
Paul ended his playing career in 2020 and since graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Upon passage of the bar, he will join a prestigious Charlotte law firm where he his practice will focus on financial services and private investment.
Hensley Hancuff
Hensley, a goalkeeper and Oklahoma native, currently plays for the North Carolina Courage in the NWSL. Prior to her professional career, Hensley attended Villanova University and Clemson University. She graduated with a degree in Sports Communication and is working towards completion of her MBA.
After college, Hensley was drafted by the NJ/NY Gotham FC and played overseas for the Brisbane Roar in Australia before returning stateside to play for the Courage. Hensley has been a part of the USWNT system, most recently being called up to the U-23 team.
Hensley's contagious personality and ability to connect with others deeply make her an invaluable resource to athletes looking to advance their careers off the field.
Florian Valot
Florian, a native of France, grew up traveling the world playing soccer. He went on to join two of the best French academies - PSG and Monaco - before embarking on a scholarship to Rider University. After graduating with a Business Administration degree, he went undrafted to the New York Red Bulls where he played for 6 seasons. After a short stint at FC Cincinnati in MLS, Florian joined Miami FC and now currently plays for Loudoun United FC in the USL.
Off the field, Florian is passionate about sport business. He has invested his time and money in sport companies and recognizes the value an athlete can add to any organization. Florian's experience and network make him a great resource for all athletes in their post playing career transition.
KARIS WATSON
co-owner & director of volleyball
Karis, from Rock Hill, South Carolina, is a professional volleyball player in her 8th season competing in The Pro Volleyball Federation with Atlanta Vibe. Prior to joining the Vibe, Karis played professionally in Switzerland, Germany, Portugal, Sweden, and England.
Karis holds a Masters degree in Marketing Management from the University of Essex (England) and an undergraduate degree from Clemson University. While at Clemson, Karis was an integral part of the team's success, earning multiple All-ACC awards.
Those who know Karis well know that she has a wonderful sense of humor and is an enthusiastic, engaging, and caring teammate. Her energy empowers athletes to take positive strides towards finding meaningful careers off the court.
